Connect Your GHL Account

If you use GoHighLevel (GHL) for your business, Clara can sync conversations and contacts from GHL directly into your AgentClara inbox. This means:
  • One inbox for everything (GHL conversations + SMS + Email + Social)
  • Contacts sync from GHL to AgentClara
  • Appointments sync between both systems
  • No duplicate work (don’t manage conversations in two places)

Find GHL

Look for “GoHighLevel” and click Connect

Log Into Your GHL Account

You’ll be redirected to GHL. Log in with your GHL username and password.

Grant Permissions

GHL will ask if AgentClara can:
  • ✅ Read your contacts
  • ✅ Read your conversations
  • ✅ Read your opportunities
  • ✅ Sync appointments
Click Approve or Allow.

Back to AgentClara

You’ll be redirected back to AgentClara. It will say “Connected”.

Wait for Sync

GHL conversations and contacts will start appearing in your AgentClara inbox. This takes 5-10 minutes.Go to https://agentclara.app/chats and you’ll see GHL conversations labeled as “GHL” channel.

View GHL Conversations

Go to https://agentclara.app/chats Filter by Channel: GHL to see only GHL conversations. Each conversation shows:
  • Customer name
  • Last message (what they said)
  • Contact info from GHL (phone, email)
  • Opportunities linked to them
Click any conversation to see the full thread.

Respond to GHL Messages

Click a GHL conversation and type your reply. It will:
  1. Send through AgentClara
  2. Appear in GHL automatically
  3. Get sent to the customer
No need to log into GHL separately.

How Contacts Sync

Your GHL contacts automatically appear in AgentClara: When viewing a conversation, you’ll see:
  • Customer name
  • Phone number
  • Email
  • Associated opportunities
  • Linked deals
If you create a new contact in GHL, they’ll appear in AgentClara within 24 hours.

Appointments & Calendar

If your GHL account uses Calendly or has appointment bookings:
  1. Those appointments appear in AgentClara’s calendar view
  2. Clara can see your GHL availability
  3. When a customer books through Clara, it syncs back to GHL
  4. Both systems stay in sync
No double-booking problems.

Managing Your Integration

Disconnect GHL

If you want to stop syncing: Go to https://agentclara.app/integrations > GoHighLevel > Disconnect Note: Past conversations stay in AgentClara, but new GHL messages won’t sync.

Re-authorize

If GHL permissions change, reconnect:
  1. Click Disconnect
  2. Click Connect again
  3. Log into GHL and approve permissions

Troubleshooting

  1. Sync can take 5-15 minutes. Wait and refresh the page.
  2. Do you have conversations in GHL? (Check your GHL account)
  3. Are they in a funnel that has messaging enabled?
If still not working, email support@agentclara.ai
  1. Refresh the page (data might not have loaded)
  2. Create a NEW contact in GHL and try again
  3. Contact might have an issue in GHL (missing phone/email)
Contacts with incomplete info sometimes fail to sync.
  1. Check your internet connection
  2. Refresh both AgentClara and GHL
  3. The message might be pending (check timestamp)
If messages keep failing, disconnect and reconnect the integration.
Yes! Clara’s responses will automatically:
  1. Go to the GHL contact
  2. Appear in their GHL conversation
  3. Show as coming from your business
No special setup needed—it just works.
No. Use the same knowledge base for all channels. But you can set a note in Clara’s system prompt about GHL-specific responses if needed.

Best Practices

Sync first, worry later. If you’re already in GHL, syncing saves you from managing two systems.
Keep contact info clean. Syncing works best when GHL contacts have complete info (name, phone, email).
Use tags in GHL. Tags sync to AgentClara and help you organize conversations.
Test one conversation first. Send a test message in GHL to make sure syncing works before going live.

Data Privacy

AgentClara and GHL use industry-standard encryption. Your data is stored securely and is never shared with third parties.
All conversations are encrypted in transit and at rest. Your GHL contacts are treated with the same security as your AgentClara data.
