How AgentClara Billing Works

You pay based on what your clients use, not a fixed monthly fee. Key concept: Clara’s work is measured in interactions. An interaction is one customer message + one Clara response.

What Counts as an Interaction?

Conversation

Customer sends message → Clara responds = 1 interaction

Voice Call

Customer calls → Clara answers = 1 interaction

Appointment Booking

Customer schedules time → Clara confirms = 1 interaction

Follow-up

Clara sends automated reminder = 1 interaction
One message back-and-forth = 1 interaction.

See Your Usage

Go to https://agentclara.app/master/billing to see:
  • Interactions This Month - How many conversations/calls you’ve had
  • Cost Per Interaction - What you’re paying per conversation
  • Total Cost - What you owe this month
  • Per-Client Breakdown - How much each client is using

Pricing Tiers

Pricing depends on your plan. Common tiers:

Agency Billing Model

As an agency, you:
  1. Get billed by AgentClara for total usage across all clients
  2. Charge your clients whatever you want
  3. Keep the difference as profit
Example:
  • You have 3 clients
  • Client A uses 500 interactions/month
  • Client B uses 300 interactions/month
  • Client C uses 1,200 interactions/month
  • Total: 2,000 interactions
Your cost: 2,000 × 0.35=0.35 = **700** What you can charge:
  • Client A: $250 (markup)
  • Client B: $150 (markup)
  • Client C: $600 (markup)
  • Your revenue: $1,000
  • Your profit: $300
You set the pricing for each client.

Track Usage Per Client

Go to https://agentclara.app/master/billing > Per-Client Breakdown See exactly how many interactions each client is using. Use this to:
  • Invoice clients accurately
  • Identify which clients are your heavy users
  • Plan capacity

Set Limits Per Client

To prevent surprises, you can set a max interactions for each client:
  1. Go to https://agentclara.app/master/accounts
  2. Click on a client
  3. Go to Settings > Plan & Limits
  4. Set Max Monthly Interactions
If they hit the limit, they’ll get a warning. They can request more, and you can approve it.

Payment Methods

How you pay us:
  • Credit card - Billed automatically each month
  • Bank transfer - For enterprise customers (contact sales)
  • Invoice - For large organizations
Go to Settings > Billing to update your payment method.

Invoices & Receipts

At the end of each month, you’ll get an invoice showing:
  • Total interactions across all clients
  • Total cost
  • Line items (broken down by client if you have multiple)
Download it in Settings > Invoices.

Overage Charges

If a client exceeds their plan limit:
  • Clara keeps working
  • The overage is charged at your plan rate
  • You’ll see it on next month’s bill
Example: Client is on “1,000 interactions/month” plan, uses 1,500 interactions
  • Base: 1,000 interactions = $350
  • Overage: 500 interactions = $175
  • Total: $525

Common Questions

That’s up to you. Common approaches:
  • Flat monthly fee - “You pay $500/month for up to 2,000 interactions”
  • Per-interaction markup - “You pay 0.75perinteraction(wepay0.75 per interaction (we pay 0.35)”
  • Tiered - Different prices for different volume levels
Most agencies use a flat monthly fee so clients have predictable costs.
Unused interactions don’t carry over. Each month resets. This encourages clients to use Clara—they’ve already paid for it.
Yes. Go to Master > Accounts, find the client, and click Edit Plan. Choose a new plan. The change applies next billing cycle.
You can pause their account temporarily. Go to Master > Accounts, find them, and click Pause. No charges while paused.
Contact sales@agentclara.ai and tell them your expected volume. They’ll set you up with the right plan and pricing.

Free Trial

New accounts get a 30-day free trial:
  • All features included
  • Up to 500 interactions free
  • No credit card required
After 30 days, you’ll need to enter a payment method to keep using the platform.
